Information We Collect

When you submit a form on this site (contact, listing alert, or newsletter), we collect the information you choose to provide: typically your name, email address, phone number, the contents of your message, and search details such as a complex of interest, price range, or timeline. If you indicate you are a property owner, we may also collect information about your portfolio (number of units, property type) so we can prepare a meaningful response.

We do not use cookies for advertising, do not run third-party tracking pixels, and do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Service providers that process this information on our behalf: Vercel (hosting; basic technical information such as IP addresses and request timestamps for security and abuse prevention), Resend (email delivery), Neon (database hosting), Anthropic (the AI assistant that powers the site chat — see below), and HubSpot (our customer relationship system, where contact records and inquiry notes are kept).

About the site chat. Your messages are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. If you give a name and email in the chat, we store them with a record of the conversation and email that conversation to Ben so he can follow up — that is the reason for asking. Chat contact details are not added to any marketing list; that requires a separate opt-in. Please do not enter financial account numbers, government identification numbers, or other sensitive details into the chat.

How We Use Your Information

To respond to your inquiry, schedule consultations, or provide requested information.
To follow up about properties, applications, or management services.
To send listing alerts you signed up for.
If you opt in, to send occasional market updates related to your search. These use the details you provided (for example, a complex of interest or price range) to keep the content relevant. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never prevents us from answering your own inquiry.
To prevent abuse of our website and forms (rate-limiting, spam filtering).
To comply with legal obligations, including advertising records we are required to keep as a real estate licensee.

How We Store and Protect Your Information

All form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS. Submissions are delivered to our internal email and stored in our database and customer relationship system so we can respond, keep track of your request, and honor your email preferences. We restrict access to Harwood Real Estate staff who need it to respond to you.

We retain lead records for up to 24 months after our last interaction with you, and records of marketing emails sent for up to 3 years as a compliance record. You can request deletion sooner at any time.

Your Choices

Marketing emails always include an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out by emailing us. If you would like a copy of any information we hold about you, or you would like us to delete it, please contact us at Ben@HarwoodRealEstate.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
